Welcome to IT Tea!
I’m Trevina Tan, a beginning IT Consultant working at UC Berkeley. As part of the Special Operations team, I mainly work with software reimaging, computer replacements, and providing general technology support for clients all across campus. I work with larger scale projects as opposed to individualized client tickets (which a more traditional IT Consultant role would entail). This blog serves as both documentation and a guide for all that I’ve learned, in hopes that it’ll be useful to anyone else who is just starting out or simply curious about what an IT Consultant does.
I provide technical support for both Windows and Mac, so you’ll see articles and posts about both operating systems (although the vast majority of my work involves Windows).
Feel free to head over to ‘Latest Entries’ to see what I’ve recently been up to, or visit my IT Journal, where I post updates on what I spend my time doing in (or out of) the office on a regular basis. I’ve also written up some of my own guides that I personally use during my work — they’re simplified, beginner-friendly, and intended to be helpful!
The IT Tea blog is slowly growing as I continue to write and add more content. Check back often for updates!
